I went to the London Coliseum last Wednesday to see this fantastic show by the English National Ballet.
It was mainly ballet with some tap choreographed by Derek Deane and set to Gershwin music including Rhapsody in Blue, An American in Paris and various single tunes.
The dancing was terrific, the costumes were beautiful and the music was worth going for on its own. The ENB orchestra was augmented by 8 brass and 6 woodwind.
A wonderful evening at a packed theatre with all ages represented. |
