I don't know how everyone thinks about the Graham Norton Saturday Show? I don't feel it's that exciting as it was made to come across as. He's a good interviewer, but I think the show lacks something else. I just hope he dosn't have another stint covering Breakfast & Steve Wright shows. TV is the best place for some of these celebrities. |

It certainly needs refining, but overall I find it entertaining.
My two main irritations are:
a) That blasted woman who comes on and witters away with Graham for a while, dishing out advice of some sort. Who is she? What's she doing on the programme? Why is she so incredibly annoying?
b) Graham talking over tracks. Okay, a lot of DJs do this a bit (Wright being the worst offender) but Graham often just 'crashes' tracks with no real attempt to fade them in or out. Very annoying. |

I heard parts of it last week and thought it pretty mediocre and quickly got fed up with the yap about X factor
He came on again after the sensational SoTs this weekend and off we went again.. X Factor.. so I re-tuned to Gold.
Apart from the adverts, Gold plays just the kind of music I like at that time of the day and is that what matters to me in the long run? decent music over drivel? I'm thinking more and more; yes it is! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I've been amused by Graham Norton when he has been standing in for others.
I'm finding now, however, that I'm mildly irritated by him. Much the same happened to me in terms of his television show. When he was on once a week, I couldn't miss it. I thought he was outrageous, very funny, and his guests reacted accordingly, making for some hilarious episodes.
When the programme went out nightly, it began to pall, and I wondered if I had just grown accustomed to his schtick, or whether it was Graham Norton who was just becoming repetitive.
In my opinion, the same applies to his radio peformances. Perhaps it's just me. |

But his radio show is only on once a week.
Argument failure on your behalf. |

I obviously didn't explain myself very well!
When he was on television once a week, I thought he was hilarious, different and refreshing. When he was on nightly, I quickly grew bored.
When Graham Norton stood in for other radio broadcasters, I quite enjoyed the shows. It was probably a week at at a time, and I may not have listened to all of them.
Now he has his own show on every Saturday (and I've caught them all), I'm wondering whether I have

At least I can listen to it, whereas Jonathan Ross was immediately switched off, and Patrick Kielty quickly became irritating.
Perhaps my boredom/tolerance threshold has just plummeted as time has passed! |

My feelings entirely. |
Excellent, now I can say I don't like it without ever having to listen to it.
Not that I ever would listen to it, I can't stand Mr Norton, even on Father Ted he irritated me ( I now realise he wasn't acting - just being himself). |

There was times when he was covering the breakfast show that I felt I was listening to Father Noel Furlong! |

I don't read The Sun, Mark. Out of principle. Sorry.

I thought that the second show was much better - Jerry Hall and Mike Gatiss made for entertaining guests.
Only two gripes really:
a) The sports section drivel.
b) The 'agony aunt' section with that dreadful woman (the name escapes me). Really dire stuff that needs to be ditched, pronto. |

No.. not for me.
I heard nearly all the Jerry Hall interview and as I've stated elsewhere on here, it's ok as long as you want to hear about celebrities and their spoilt kids or ex-husbands and what ever new money making venture they're now on... but is she a celebrity now for the UK? I mean really? she was married to Mick Jagger a million years ago.. big deal.
Norton's ok.. the music is below ok for me.. and most of the people who appear on the shows have no appeal for me whatsoever.
I'd rather hear great music.

I can sum the thing up quite simply by saying too much inane talk with too many boring guests and a lack of decent music and a very irritating presenter

By the looks of that pic he doesn't drive that desk anyway - the mixer, ops panel and monitors are all covered in paperwork! |

better idea give Graham Norton the breakfast show Monday to Friday and move the present incumbent to Satrudays. Graham did a great job as a breakfast DJ.... |

Sorry but I prefer The Ginger Maniac to Graham Norton for breakfast. Too much girly talk with Norton (no offence), going on about recipes and curtains etc. |
