I'm sorry to learn of Barbara Kelly's death. She was the last survivor from the original series of What's My Line. Even at a tender age I thought she was very sexy, so it came as a shock to learn that, at the time of her death, she was 82.

I preferred the posh one! Lady Isobel Barnett!! she was very attractive.
I used to like that show, good family entertainment.
I have a very vague memory of one show where they did a "colour" television experiment??
I seem to remember the camera focusing on the Lady's necklass and Eamomn Andrews excitedly asked if the viewers could see the colours of the gems! red and green I think.
May have been an Aprils fools trick or something but I'm sure it happened.
Dotto - another good show... |

Sorry to hear about her passing away. She and Bernard Braden were a very popular and really entertaining couple in the 50's and early 60's. I remember thinking how glamourous she was - always wore very chic clothes. Didn't Bernard front the Watchdog style programme which gave Esther Ranzen her start on tv? _________________ Friends may come and friends may go, but enemies tend to accumulate. |

I echo that. I always preferred Barbara to Isobel Barnet on What's My Line? (IB was probably too close to mother/grandmother who I thought of as far too strict at the time. Barbara was more modern and had flair.) Daughter Kim was gorgeous also - remember her in Anne of Green Gables/Avonlea on BBC-tv in the 70s.
Bernard had a wonderful sense of humour, quite satirical (before even David Frost's TWTWTW time); he did do the forerunner to That's Life and Watchdog, called On The Braden Beat, if memory serves - he fell out with the BBC over outside advertising (he did the one for Campbell's Soup, but I'm not sure that was the contentious one) and Esther Rantzen got her chance. _________________ Ron |

Ah yes! Now you've mentioned it I do remember Kim Braden as Anne. She was good wasn't she? I wonder whatever happened to her. _________________ Friends may come and friends may go, but enemies tend to accumulate. |
