Following Sarah Kennedy's recent wasp sting ( good god how does this excuse for non attendance at work stack up in the real world is clearly a completely different thread). The good news is that the mighty Richard Allinson covers her absence on 28th August 2009.

Perhaps the wasp got sick of her, so it stung her into silence! _________________ Pirate Johnnie Walker played my request on 11 April 2009 |

Yes, that is good news. That means RA followed by JW in the mornings. Excellent work that wasp!
How come she blags time off when I managed to continue to work using my keyboard day-in, day-out even when my wasp-stung hand came up like a balloon?
The woman's a hopeless case! RA for dawn patrol - permanently!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Wasp stings can be fatal for some people, Colby, while others may feel ill and cannot work as a result: some people though just swell up around the area of the sting but for those people, there’s usually an accompanying psychological effect, giving rise to a lifetime of believing they are right all the time. You say your hand swelled up?
If Sarah did give up the DP, Alex would be best replacement. |

Yes. Thank you for the thesis, Dr. Rachel.

My O/H is allergic to wasp stings, he has to carry one of those syringe things around with him just in case. They can be fatal if the person goes into Anaphylaxis, this is very rare though, more often than not the person with the allergy will just feel ill, this can last a few days though, not nice. |

In what respect is RA "mighty"? He's an ok presenter, better than some, not as good as others. Mighty, he ain't _________________ MiS |

I reckon it's all relative. RA might not be "mighty" in general terms, but in comparison to some of the dross currently paid (our money) to open their gobs on R2 he might well be reasonably considered to be "mighty"! _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Mighty?? and there's that other chap sitting for somebody or other saying Evans, Wogan and Bruce are Gods..
Just a tad OTT isn't it?
"Mighty Wrighty" has a certain appeal though.. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Aled should be given a daytime show apart from GMS? Allinson followed by Walker. That would be fab. At least we have some good ethusatic conversation and broadcasters who know there music. |

Yes, you're right there Mark. It's just a pity that presenters who know - and have a passion for - their music are among the least valued broadcasters on the station. Such is life! _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Has anyone included Elvis Presley's 'I Got Stung' or Tori Amos's 'Sweet The Sting' while passing on 'get well soon' messages? _________________ We are loonies and we are proud!
