As soon as I heard his voice, it brought shivers down my spine. It's such a shame he's gone. |

Are you listening to the show, Mark? I am and it's brilliant! I'm chatting to Mike Reynolds about Alan Freeman and Radio 2 via MSN right now. Such a shame this format wasn't kept on Pick of the Pops when Dale Winton took over. |

This IS Pick of the Pops. Fluff has played some fantatsic tracks so far, much better than the crap Dale Winton often plays. This format should be brought back to Pick of the Pops. This is brilliant radio. |

When he did the countdown I had tears in my eyes. He will be sadly missed. |

Mark, it was very emotional, I agree. I think plenty of other listeners would have had tears in their eyes, too. Alan Freeman is a hard act to follow. |

Fantatsic show; the BEST 90 minutes I have heard on Radio 2 in a very long time. Thank you, Fluff. Shame you're not there for real. |

Alan Freeman's second stint on Radio 2 ran from 1997 - 2001. He hosted Pick of the Pops until April 2000 - I think they should consider having at least one Alan Freeman show per month. Why not? |
