After almost 100 years (it was introduced in 1910) the humble Oxo cube has been re-engineered, and is no longer to be a cube, but shaped into an X.

Of all the pointless exercises, I think that just about takes the biscuit, or oxo cube _________________ Ron |

The Oxo cube is different gravy
Agreed Ron, this is just a marketing gimmick which, as a Pescatarian, will not have any impact on me! _________________ MiS |

"Stock Horror!" was the headline in the MoS .... I think the X is kinda cute I've never used the stuff (never will) but you could mount one on a cocktail stick and use it to point out the location of hidden underground objects on a map in a, X marks the spot kind of way . |

As long as it tastes the same I couldn't care less if it's shaped like a torpedo. It does all seem rather pointless though. |

Think about it: somebody had the mind to start this topic in this forum. How many forums are there in which people are asking questions - and how many column inches has the press release been given in the press or the broadcast media?
That's why products are launched - to raise awareness about their existence in the hope of boosting sales.
This forum topic has got us talking about Oxo. That's a pretty good marketing strategy - after all, I'm discussing it here and I hate the bloody stuff!
It's called "Viral marketing" and after an initial push it's free because we help to do the promotion work. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |
