I usually tune into radio 2's mornings intermitently from about 6.30 till 8 when i leave for work. i mostly enjoy Sarah k's show. Much of the music on terry Wogan is good, but i find his presentation style at that time ofthe morning a bit in your face
I enjoyed Johnny Walkers stand in for Tel while he was away.
What does anyone else think? |

I like that nice Mr. Walker, too, but I wish Alan Deadlycote was in the programme rather less. |

Johnnie would be the ideal replacement if Tel retires. I think the BBC would be looking for a younger person? Evans or even Zoe Ball? ( Well thats debatable as she's got a baby on the way ) At least in the mean time we can enjoy the job sharing. JW back at the end of August. |

You've obviously never listened to just about any other popular-music-based breakfast programme in the land, then.
Stick a pin in the list of commercial stations, or try a minute of Moyles, then thank goodness for Terry Wogan. _________________ Ron |

I'd like to see Simon Mayo given a chance at standing in for STW. It would be interesting to see how he would take the role. _________________

Oh no. Simon Mayo is way too clinical, too perfect, too fabricated, like a municipal building, all very clean and shiny but not very inspiring. It's amost like he's computer generated.

He's a BBC man through-and-through, he's done it before, and if he wants it, and they ask him, I'm sure it will be his.
Having listened to him a few times recently, he's not quite Mr Perfection, but he is quite patronising, almost arrogant. I'm not sure that I want a headmaster talking to me over my cornflakes. _________________ Ron |

Oh no, that wouldn't do at all. I suggest Sarah gets an extra half hour then Ken can start at 8. Four hours? No problem _________________ MiS |

Oh, I totally agree. I wouldn't put up with the goings on on most stations at breakfast (though magic is ok), & certainly NOT Moyles!
At least tel plays some good music! |

Indeed, Tel is a shining example compared to most of the "competition", especially locally. _________________ MiS |

Yes, I go along with that. I caught TW for about 10 minutes this morning and I just can't help feeling that much as I like the guy the show just sounds so lethargic. Well, the bit I heard was anyhow. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |
