Really? well then good for him. Personally, I hate to see animals used as part of entertainment, it's just not right in my book.
Mind you I also hate to see rediculous programmes like that celeb Jungle garbage and The Word where they use/used insects to intimidate the "guests", many of which get killed or injured.
They are living creatures no matter what. |

@ SantaFefan
a big thumbs up
Normally people don't agree with me on this sort of thing, especially if it's 'just' insects/ for 'celebrity' shows etc

I take a bit of stick over my "protective" ways! from friends and staff alike but who cares! God helps anybody who stands on a creepy crawly around me!
I do a lot of maintenance and small building work at my place here and this issue surfaces a lot. I've nearly finished boarding in the underside of a large balcony but I'm holding back until a baby pigeon is able to fly out! ( insults invited! )
wish it would hurry up! |

No, I'm not vegetarian although it wouldn't take too much to make me so.
I'm ashamed to say I fall into the catagory which blanks the fact that the meat from the store was once walking around. |

I like meat too Nat, particularly a fillet steak.... but now and then I think about it and it can put me off.
Maybe the first indication for me was not eating pork scratchings or any fat.. (yuk)

I don't eat meat or poultry, however, do eat dairy products, free range eggs and fish. It's not that I don't like meat, I just disagree with factory farming and the treatment of animals as a product and not a living creature. I would find it immensely difficult to be vegan and admire anyone who has the resolve to stick to their beliefs.

I have no issue with Russell Brand. I think he's unique for Radio 2. A good addition to the station, in my opinion. |

Just had Brand on for 5 minutes (10.30pm); I think the show is utter garbage. Of course blokes 'getting their willies out' was the subject, and Brand just laughs at himself all the time, I dread to think what the other 115 minutes are like. |

I turnedon Radio 2 a few minutes too early to listen to Bob Harriss, & had the misfortune to hear that screeching, hysterical imbecile, Russell Brand. He was boasting about how he does heroin all the time (yet again!) & laughing like a hiyena in that idiotic camp way of his.
I revise my thinking about Jade. Compared to Russell, she might almost seem an inteligent, well-rounded human being!
Get Russell off the radio! If they must have trash, put Jade on! |

Well, if JW could be suspended for having an addiction, then the same rules should apply re RB - even if he was trying to be funny.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Having a boil on the bum would seem a very good description of the way it feels listening to Russell B |

Especially as Johnny Walker never advocated the use of Cocaine or mentioned it in any way on air. It was just a habit he got into in his private life that sme journo found out about.
In the case of RB, he is forever boasting about his Heroin use, like a silly little child. There is much more reason to suspend RB than there was JW. Besides the fact that JW is a good broadcaster & RW is not |

I submitted a complaint on Sunday, October 7th following Russell Brand's attack on Paul Hollingdale the night before. I have still yet to receive a response from Radio 2 management.
Clearly, Lesley Douglas condones her staff to piss take and attack others. The Sunday before was Radio 2's 40th birthday. Paul Hollingdale returned to host a Breakfast Special only to be ridiculed by the loudmouthed, foulmouthed Man In Drag.
Just goes to show what Lesley Douglas must think of yesteryear presenters. |

Mrs G was unwell last night and went to bed early. The upstairs radio is usually tuned to Radio 2 ready for the morning. She was unfortunate to listen to Russell Brand and, quite frankly, found him offensive. This person should not be on Radio 2 on a Saturday. _________________ Geddon

Shame on you Cherskiy, he would probably give "Ex-druggies & tea leaves" a bad name

He even plugged his book at the start of his show - something forbidden by the BBC Charter and which even Wogan can't get away with so blatantly. |

I saw Brand on Loose Women yesterday afternoon, they were all wetting themselves over him
He was well-behaved and accusing the ladies of being rude with innuendos, which they often are on that show |

I watched Russell Brand on HIGNFY and thought he was excellent!
I laughed when he had to leave the set for a pee!
Like with Ross, I felt Jack Dee felt a little intimidated by this pesky newcomer.
As I've said before, I can't be doing with excessive swearing but when he's behaved like on this show, I think he's genuinely entertaining. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I don't know why either
When he was on Ross' show, he said he had a mouse living in his hair for a while! maybe he's hoping to attract a Robin or something... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I thought he was terrible on HIGNFY - the guy could be funny but he uses too many words, tries to be clever, and is always seeking attention. He was really out-of-his-depth on Friday, and I hated that self-satisfied smile he made after every "joke" |

I get the feeling the Sunday Mirror's TV columnist isn't too keen on him. Have a look at http://www.sundaymirror.co.uk/showbiz/tv/ then scroll down to the 'Gimme 5' section, paragraph 2. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Has anyone ever seen him and Nigella Lawson in the same room?
