Why do we have these little "voice" segments by Alan Dedicoat in JV's show these days? Surely Jeremy gets paid enough to do all the talking? I know Deadly doesn't need any encouraging to show off, but with his 2 week starring role on the Breakfast show he's already on far too much. _________________ MiS |

It's good getting someone else to voice segments. TV shows do this. |

Because it's considered necessary in order to maintain editorial balance. Deadly is employed as a good old-fashioned "announcer" and so it's natural for him to undertake the job when he's on duty.

There's a clear rotation of "announcers" on daytime duty, is there not? The other week, Charles Nove did the voiced-up bits when Bannister was in the chair, I do recall.
Anyway, I don't really think it's an issue. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

It used to be Jim Lee (or something like that) who did the voice bits, but he got snaffled by Radio 4. |

Oh right, you say it's not an issue, so that's that
Clearly, it IS an issue for me, or I wouldn't have raised it.
Frankly, I'm getting a little tired of your authoritarianism, Colby. This board is for the expression of opinions: you seem to slap everyone down for stating theirs. _________________ MiS |

Why not have an announcer reading out points of the shows discussions?
Why don't they just scrap the trailers for shows and get the presenters to announce them on the shows? I can't see the problem with this direction on JV show.
