I think the trail for Evans' show that's run in KB's show this moring (Thurs) is a perfect example of the kind of radio that I so despise and explains perfectly why I don't listen to weekdays drivetime. "Uninspiring" is the kindest word I can think of to describe the trails. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

"Uninspiring" is being very kind. "Juvenile trash" would serve rather well, methinks! _________________ MiS |

Friday All Request Show with Chris Evans when the listeners choose the music is great by me. I really enjoy this Show. |

It's just such a shame it has to be "presented" by a cat on hot bricks (can't we spay it, please?). Let's just have the listeners' choices without the idiot whose voice we have to put up with in between them.
And the trails are just appalling. Really appalling. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Sometimes I think Evans should have gone to commercial radio? With the state that is in, stations merging etc.. then I think the BBC was the only option? |

Er, didn't he come to the Beeb from commercial radio? I seem to recall that he once owned the Virgin national franchise, which his Ginger Media company then sold to GMG when he got bored with getting out of bed early?
I wish commercial radio would take him back - preferably some back-water "yes indeedie" IR station to which his style is most suited. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Totally agree, Colby. If these trailers are supposed to encourage people to listen to the show, they should come with a health warning! I listened to Alan Carr's first show last week, and Evans' trailer was played which consisted of Evans doing elephant noises. The fact that Emma Forbes asked Alan Carr if he had any animal impressions, to which he replied let's move on...' surely speaks volumes.
At least when Evans' trailer is played during other shows, it's always worth it just to hear the presenter offer a witty comment. Let's face it, Evans is an embarrasment! |

I mean gone back to commercial radio. Know one phoned and asked him to join the BBC, he went to speak to Lesley Douglas and the rest is history. I guess the his book will reveal all this?

I would imagine that they would give him a wide berth. What a shame that his 'aunty' Lesley didn't take all her baggage with her when she went! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Ho do you that no ("know"?) one phoned?
Are you sure that Ms. Douglas and the unmentionable one didn't have a little spot of lunch down at one of the trendy Soho brasseries and come up with some cunning little plan?
Of, course, you may know different Mark. Maybe you were there in person to witness the goings-on! _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Is your spelling always perfect then? if so it is very nice to be in the company of perfection itself. |

A bit of fun, not only once, but a few times at my expense!! Could you please stop now as your fun has run out of steam. Other members on here can see your childish behavior. |

Mark, I defy anyone to define that as "childish behaviour". Merely pointing out spelling and grammar errors is hardly childish is it?
I take great offence at your accusation. _________________ MiS |

I take offence you keep mocking me. Never mind I'm nearly 40 years old and don't need to be told. |

You seem to invite it by your silly posts, Mark. It's difficult to resist, let's be honest.
By the way, it's "behaviour" not the American "behavior". _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Mark,
How about making it easier for them to stop by dropping the 'schoolboy howlers' in your posts. The spelling mistakes etc do sometimes seem deliberate. Try previewing your posts before clicking send. Then you can correct any typos before posting.
Yours in a spirit of helpfulness. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I do think it is childish not to mention rude, for crying out loud nobody is perfect and some people just can't spell terribly well, that's life.
Quite frankly I've had it with all the sniping on this board and I'll be joining Nod in saying cheerio. |

I agree. It's just being helpful, isn't it? Or is it not "PC" to help people to help themselves these days?
The other day somebody confirmed something in an email to me by typing: "GR8 M8". He couldn't understand what I meant when I replied: "WTF?". _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Sick to death of Evans awful screaming trailers, I turn off the radio for 30 seconds! They just act as a reminder that 5pm - 7pm weekdays is a no go area on Radio 2, awful radio. |

Totally agree - I rush to the radio when they come on. Since he is "so popular" how come they need all these trailers anyway/ I thought Evans was the Second Coming? _________________ MiS |
