Definitely. And good ol' Richard's playing the "Live At The Rainbow" version of "Sylvia" by Focus! Fantastic....
It's certainly been worth tuning in at drivetime tonight. _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

I know Richard Madeley isn't replacing Sarah Kennedy, however he's been covering for Richard Bacon on Five live recently, and once a broadcaster on BBC Carlise. I just can't see how the top brass at Radio 2 choose to cover some of these presenters? I mean how many presenters have actually covered the Dawn Patrol? Richard Allinson is on the week before, so why couldn't he continue to save the BBC licence fee? Personally it just don't add up.
The station still seems very lost in it's self with a mix bag of cover broadcasters!! Which direction is it going, and are those extra broadcasters recently drafted in like Liza Tarbuck, Simon Mayo, Zoe Ball, Emma Forbes, and now Richard Madeley all lined up for a full time job at the station in the future?
Anyway - congratulations to his agent adding him on the celebrity list at the station.... |

How does having one person rather than two different people over a two week stretch - both of whom are freelances - "saving" a licence fee Mark?
If they're both being paid the same rate (let's assume) then where's any saving likely to occur between one or another unless Madeley is being paid more than Allinson? _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Has Aled Jones fallen out of favour?
Is Richard A busy the 2nd week?
Where is Sarah going on holiday?
Is "very lost in it's self " one of Mark O's worst crimes against writing?
Answer's ona po-stc'ard please _________________ MiS |

Mark O-Colby is playing you my friend.
Of course it's Richard Allinson in the picture/on the web-cam.
Good entertainment this am. This is, how the Dawn Partol Show be,-good music. banter, on time, good interaction with the audience and to give the listeners a feel good factor before they go to work to pay for Labour's mis-management of our lives/the economy etc.
How anyone can be asking what side of the desk he is on is beyond me.
Richard Allinson is a DJ of many years experience-of course he know's how to drive the desk etc. It seem's this is a unique skill at the BBC these days.
Allinson rocks-you bet he does. |

Yes, I can see it's Richard Allinson really. I just don't understand why he's not doing the show with Judy. Do you think there's a problem between them? _________________ (signature and avatar removed, violated forum Rule 2.) |

Really great to hear Richard Allinson this past week covering for Sarah Kennedy on the Dawn Patrol.
Wish this was a permanent arrangement. |

The Voice of Early morning in London for years and national. I wish he would be considered to take over Breakfast when Sir Wogan retires? |

Agreed.
Richard would be perfect/great as the host of the Breakfast Show on Radio 2.
Hopefully when Wogan reties they will retime the Breakfast Show to start earlier-7pm imo. |
