In my early teenage years I used to think Tom Browne was the business as a fantastic radio presenter.
His handling/presentation of the Chart Show on BBC Radio 1 was just brilliant.
I know he retired to an Island off Thailand but I hope he one day decides to make a return-unlikely I know but you never know. |

Mark,
I heartily concur with your comments regarding Tom Browne. He had the perfect voice for the chart rundown

This was the only sound clip I could find, it's pretty short.

What a sexy RADA trained voice! I remember as a teenager tuning into the top 20, not just for the music, but to listen to his voice. I think I have a cassette somewhere, with a selection of taped bits of him talking. |
