She was due last Thursday (so far still in there as far as I know) but he's adamant that he won't be taking anytime off for paternity. |

I thought I heard this morning that she has gone into hospital and that he is with her. Wonder if he'll come back for the show? _________________ Minx

I thought I might be able to listen if he was at the hospital but it seems not.
Did she have it yet or a false alarm?

No she's had the first signs that it's about to start, but great detail has been imparted both on the radio and on the blog. Tooooo much information! _________________ Minx

He will be foolish if she has the baby in the next 24 hours and comes to work on Friday. |

Why would that be foolish?
In my experience (3 children) newborn babies sleep a lot- during the day anyway. I'm sure there'll also be a truck-load of relatives and friends helping out. The team can put the show together without Chris being there- so he can just turn up just before 5 and do it, then head home again. It's only a couple of hours. No biggy really. All this baby-leave stuff, is metro-man nonesense. I'm sure for a first baby - it's a 3-day stay in hospital for mum and baby anyway. Apart from eat himself to death on grapes and feed the coffee machine - there's very little dad can do in hospital. |

In other news, Evans actually played an ENTIRE track without talking over it! Even if it was 'fill my little world right up' which has been played way too much on 2, it's a start!
And did anyone hear the laugh yoga stuff?! 'Quality' radio once again, eh?! |

I heard it - and I played along - and I must say, it's kept me quite chipper all evening... lol (and i mean it, lol).
As for Evans' description of the 'mucous event'...yeah, a little bit eugh... but it's the beauty of life. |

That is sad news, we knew him a bit as his first wife worked with my o/h in the mid 80s. Nice guy.

Strangely, despite going on about it, the birth of his own son seemed to be less of a big deal than the birth of his ex-wife's! |

I have a "less is more" policy where Evans is concerned. The less I see and hear of him the more contented I am. |
