It looks as though Richard is back on Drivetime for 1 week covering for Chris Evans during week commencing 24/11.
I wonder if Chris is going to take any paternity leave when his wife gives birth shortly. |

Normally fathers take time off? When does Mrs E break her waters? Chris is also covering for Adrian on The One Show next year. |

Yes-I think Chris could very good/well suited on the One Show.
I wonder if he will continue to combine his Radio and "new" TV career.
If he does then I think he will be take over the breakfast show when Terry Wogan calls it a day. |

I can't see him being suitable for the One Show at all.. he's too excitable! everything would be a frantic "Wow" "Fantastic" and "Brilliant" or what car do you drive...
No, I couldn't bear to watch him. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Well I've said on another thread I'm going to be listening in on Evans' show next week, and I'll check out Richard the week after.
These days it takes me approx 8 minutes to drive home on Tues/Wed/Thurs which means I'll have to listen properly at HOME and miss the gym on Wed/Thurs!

No, I think the 8 minutes of Drivetime will be enough... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Drivetime with Richard Allinson is the perfect way to unwind after a hard days work-although I confess I usually have to listen to this on Listen Again as I don't usually get home from work until 7pm. |

LOL
I can't listen live to the Radio on the way home as I have to use the London tube for part of my journey.
I prefer to listen to the whole show uninterrupted at home. |

I thought no DJ's took time off before Christmas? I guess Mrs E is about to drop, or be induced. |

Mark, it's always before Christmas, to a greater or lesser degree.
" about to drop" - there are better ways to describe this event.
Good to know Rich will be taking the wheel. |

Yes, a very good show-Richard just seems to glide into the chair with such ease as though he has never been away.
Here's hoping the new controller, when appointed ,recognises Richard's talents ,and gives him a full time show in the schedules. |

Shouldn't that have been 'Gives him back his full time show'? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Yes you are right, but I am just "managing my own expectations"-I'm afraid I have too many false dawns in the past re Richard returning to Radio 2 in some kind of full time capacity. |

Why Dusters are Yellow, cause they are connected to Spring, such as
daffodils and expression to be as busy as a yellow bee.
Shame the message wasn't read out I did tell Richard, but he must know me from the message boards and don't want to mention the name I'm just a big head. At least he knows I listen. |

Haven't listened much myself I confess; Wogan on the cruise ship's not been too bad but I wish someone would tell him that there is absolutely no need to mention CIN by name every thirty bloody seconds, I think by now we're all aware of it! |

Richard was good on Drive home this week. If there was any changes he should take the show over? |

I agree.
Richard seems very much at ease in the Drivetime slot.
Hopefully if there are any changes to the schedules (Chris moved to breakfast to take over from Terry Wogan when he decides to retire) then maybe Richard will be offered this show as Evans replacement. |

If that is a question, I'm never sure if you make statements and just add a question mark, or ask questions, then the answer is no thanks. |

I agree with Nod....
Mark, bless you, there's absolutely no need to end every sentence with a question mark. It doesn't so much make it sound like a question, more so it makes it sound like you're talking with an inflection - sort of like a teenager really?
