Just spotted that the guest singer on FNIMN on 2 November is bass Graeme Danby.
Graeme is a native of the North-East and, like many who are involved in music in these parts, I've met him once or twice. He's both a fine singer and very funny and engaging public persona and it's easy to see how he's become something of a regional institution. Do listen to the show if you get the chance--I'll probably have to record it and catch up later--you are guaranteed a real treat.

Thanks for signposting that, Ian.
In my ignorance of the name, I googled him and came up with this http://www.northumbriaanthology.com/artists.htm#D
Quite a busy folk singer in addition to his appearances with English National Opera. _________________ Ron |

Thanks for directing us to that very interesting site. Even there his workload is understated, as he also spends much of his time singing and compering at charity and other concerts, especially on his native heath.

Very much enjoying tonight's show, featuring a host of Bond themes. Some lesser known songs included, and for sure they aren't great themes some of them, e.g. Licence to Kill, Moonraker which have no 'sound' of Bond like the more well-known themes like You Only Live Twice, Thunderball
Singers include Mica Paris, and a couple of guys I don't know, Tom Baxter David McAlmont. The BBC Concert Orchestra is fantastic, demonstrating they can play anything!
Ken Bruce is coming out with all sorts of Bond trivia, including some amusing film titles used in Europe!
In the interval feature they talk exclusively to current Bond movie composer and arranger David Arnold.

Yeah, but not much! I was hoping for more (but I'm enjoying the show anyway). |

A real rarity that featured on tonight's show is 'Dr Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang'. I think the only time I've heard it previously was on Sounds Of The 60s. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Never heard of him.
Does he get out much/come down South.
So Ken Bruce is still involved with this show-I think I'll give it a wide berth. |

Mark,
If you don't like Ken and don't like FNIMN please post in the Gripes section and stop being a bore here.
This is today's light music, very popular, e.g. on X-factor, remember some fine composers have contributed to the Bond themes, and great singers performed the originals.

It would be a shame to miss out on such great music because of the presenter. |
