I'm slightly concerned if Andy Parfitt took over as controller of Radio 2. I think a lot of jocks would leave and the station and would eventually sound even more younger than older? At least Lesley Douglas kept a balance.
I think a few Radio One DJ's would come over to Radio 2 as well?

PS: Don't get more wrong his done well at Radio One, but is he Radio 2 material? |

hE'S DONE A BRILLIANT JOB AT RADIo ONE.sure he would make radical changes to the radio 2 line up,axing the likes of Sarah Kenendy and Ken Bruce, but he would create a younger fresher feel to the station.Probably you would see top DJs like Chris Moyles brought in to thee weekday line up,but also top showbiz people like Holly Willoughby or Davina McCaoll.YTou would se more female and ethnic minority presenetrs, and more diverse music such as rap hip hop and hard core dance. But it would be an interesting experiment. |

Radio 2 don't want Moyles. Most of the listeners would like to hear music, not him ranting away how to resolve the world? |

I'd imagine this is a wind up but if it went that way, it would be the end of Radio 2 for me without a doubt! what a depressing thought... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

I'd give Parfitt more credit than simpy moving stuff on Radio 1 to Radio 2. Only an idiot would think that. |

You must email him about anything? As he keeps telling us. He doesn't read everything out. It's just to keeps him busy
( I'm sure you heard him saying that on Wednesday Show? ) |

No, the only time I've emailed the show was a few weeks back when Janie was trying to think of the name of a rub on lettering system ( it was called Letraset )
I even got a reply which I thought was nice of her! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Did you e-mail her directly or via the Big Show? I never get replies to my e-mails (even the nice ones).
One of my (many ) gripes with Steve's show is that stuff comes up in the chats that's quite interesting but there's no audience interaction - and if you do e-mail something in they can't read it out because they've already left the studio by the time you send it. |

It was through the Big Show's web page ( contact the show? ) I wouldn't know how to contact her directly.
I think I got the reply within a few hours... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

We have talked about this for many year Ian. I'm sure some of the links are pre-recorded, but I do think Tim is around until 5pm, but Janey has to get off as she lives out of town and home for the kids.
I have had a email from Tim Smith once. Steve Wright looks at a lot of the message boards and probably has a black list of names? Anyway he does keep asking for everyone to email him about anything. I remember seeing a thread about emailing the show on the POV Board.

It'll be a very long list - there are Facebook groups devoted to sending him rude messages!
There does appear to be more live stuff since I sent my rant last year (though not much else has changed). |

Could not agree more.
Lets hope if Andy Parfitt does assume the mantle he overhauls the mid afternoon show quickly. |

what, and cause 30,000 more complaints? No way.. if it ain't broke...
Although it's hard for the few who haven't seen the light, the Big Show is here for many, many years yet.
After this morning's Smug FM session, I can't wait until Monday afternoon... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07
