Have been getting up early this week, as both Mrs W and I currently have heavy work commitments, and have hence been hearing SK from 6 onwards.
One snippet that I meant to mention yesterday: I was amused when she said that it was the feast day of St Someone-or-Other, who was the patron saint of actresses and had been brought to the Christian faith by a bishop. Isn't there a joke there somewhere?
Also, I was grateful to be reminded that today is the 68th anniversary of John Lennon's birth and it was lovely to hear Till There Was You from the With the Beatles album. It brought back so many happy memories of endlessly replaying the album when it first came out. But it seemed strange to mark John's anniversary by playing a track which mainly featured Paul.

St Pelagia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Pelagia Not a joke to be had, unfortunately.
Yes, strange choice of Beatles track, not even one of their songs, but don't you just love Sarah for those odd idiosynchrasies?
My memory of With The Beatles is having to take it back to the record shop, not because of the fault which infected thousands of copies in certain parts of the country, but because it looked as though someone had placed a very hot mug of something on it and it was warped to *******. _________________ Ron |
