I was unfortunate enough to catch the post 5pm news prattle this evening. The ginge said He had some news for the great british Public.
Please tell me he's leaving.

His news was that he's pregnant, well not him, but his dearly beloved. So soon there will be two of them
I'm not sure this has been done before, as seems to be the case with jumping out of a plane..... but rest assured, the intimate details of both events threaten to overwhelm our drivetime hours for some time to come. Oh joy! |

You might try reading posts #2 & #3 as they answer the question. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I know most of you will disagree but I would give Dermot O'Leary a go at Drivetime for an extended period. _________________

Nice to see another Dermot O'Leary fan on here-I thought I was the only one.
I liked Dermot when he sat in for Ken Bruce a while ago-I thought he was excellent in the slot.
I like Dermot's show on a Saturday afternoon. |

I tried his show today whilst in the car, could only stand 15 minutes until the final straw when he talked about ' todays text topic', I switched off.
A great pity as I enjoy live sessions etc and this show could be great. |

Not sure he would get paternity leave if he is self-employed? _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Ken Bruce and Simon Mayo (for example) have had a couple of weeks off when their kids have been born. |
