Actually, it's from July 28, according to his Woganness. _________________ MiS |

Johnnie himself said ( on his Sunday show) that he would be doing the Breakfast show "next week" which is the 28th in my book too... |

The new Radio Times confirms that JW is on next week.
Is this the case the following week, too?
Tel looks set to celebrate his 70th in style.

It sounded like he was saying he was only going to be off for a week? Be rather unusual if he was...isn't he usually off for three weeks at this time of year?

On the contrary, I can't stand Dedicoat and the fact he's a big part of JW's show. By the normal rota, Deadly should have been on with Wogan this week, but obviously held himself back so he can do 2 weeks with JW!
Local radio here is dire, so looks like it's a fortnight with Today for me.... _________________ MiS |

Note that TW is back next Monday.
But the current set-up has made a really refreshing change.
When Sir T is ready to hang up his microphone, JW would make the ideal replacement. And locum travel man Nick Duncalf should definitely be kept on.

If and when Sir Terry hangs up his micrphone, I'll only listen if Alice gets the gig. _________________ Geddon

I have enjoyed listening to most of J.W. over the past 2 weeks. Nick Duncalf has been excellent. He has been able to do his own ad-libs which is refreshing. However a little tired of the J.W. / Deadly routine. Amusing a few years ago, but predictable now.
Still loads better than when Mr Ross took over as a holiday stand in .
Danny Baker? Think I'll start working nights to avoid him! |

Heard that, I hope Lynn doesn't take the same holiday! If so, I'd vote Bobbie Pryor to be the travel stand in.

It's been another great fortnight of top quality work by JW. Refreshing to hear Nick Duncalf getting involved, he did well.
The music, as always with a JW show, has been top notch. I don't think there's another daytime/mainstream show on R2 that comes close to JW with the music selection, and I'd like to think that he has his part to play in this (not just the producer).
Looking forward to Sir Terry's return Monday! |

I heard about half an hour of the shows before heading off to work. i'm not sure - I think it is the format, what stopped me listening to wogan. All those voices chimming in & manly laughter. i would prefer if they just played discs & looked thru the papers like what sarah does. But not a whole possy of them |
