Mark Radcliffe is sitting in for Steve starting monday july 14 for at least a week. However he seems to be on his own for the week-no femake sidekick is mentioned on the listings, though that may change nearer the time. |

yes cutbacks... they have stopped contact by phone on quite a lot of the shows , all in fact, other than those requiring on air conversation with listeners.... |

the big show is just a load of pre recorded junk and canned applause and stuff. I would rather listen to radcliffe anyhow. Steve wright annoys me and all the creeps who surround him. |

In your opinion of course Frank..
For me, Steve's show is the very best thing on the radio apart from SOTS, ( which was rubbish this morning ) and Johnnie Walker when he's covering for TW.
The Big Show is great entertainment and a real high compared to what follows..... _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

You'd need more than 7 pints to put up with midweek afternoon Radio 2 (2:00-7:00pm) _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

No, I'm not kidding.. I have always liked Wrighty unlike some other presenters which I run hot and cold on. Terry wogan for example, I've liked him since the early days but every now and then I switch over getting a little bored with his style. I hate to admit I'm getting that way with Ken Bruce too
Try as I might, Evans is a no go area for me ( unless I can't be bothered to retune ) I think it was Friday when I just had to switch him off.. He was talking really quickly about something or other.. it was unbearable to me.
No, Wrighty's show is great entertainment and I like his humour. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

The Beeb have to put Mark up for a week in a hotel. I think the Hotel is next to Broadcasting House?
So the other broadcaster isn't getting a look in? You know who? |

Mark mentioned on Thursday that he'll be sitting in for two weeks on the afternoon show - with Lisa joining him everyday.

Mark must be on holiday next week then as he's away from the evening show for two weeks definitely.
