I don't think it's holiday. He's involved with various departments, including Panorama on BBCTV, and he must surely have periods when he needs to be off on shooting assignments etc. Fronting Panorama itself is easy - all he has to do is to turn up at White City and do his outdoor pieces to camera for the top and tails, but more involved input requires much more time. It's only a Week. I think he was recording Egg Heads when he was off last time? POV has finished until September?
Julian is ok, but he can't control the studio and it showed on Mondays show. Matthew Bannister has a different style. Eamonn Holmes was good with the listeners. They need someone to take control of the show a little more. |

I think Simon Mayo would take control of the show but he's busy doing pretty much that on 5Live. _________________

I think vine has a lot of stuff to do for panorama. I read somewhere that they are doing a big thing on the zimbabwe elections farse, and that vine is involved in because he worked in south Africa for the beeb a few years back |

Pity Matthew Bannister isn't covering the whole period, he's the right man for the job I reckon. _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Not so, as according to the Guardian he is hosting this year's Radio Festival in Glasgow this week.

Julian is only covering for 3 days this week. I reckon the scheduler should get their information right |

maybe it changed? The listings magazines are given there info quite a way ahead and things change in between. it isn't the schedulers fault. |

I don't know what the listings say as I haven't got an RT this week, but I heard Julian say Jeremy would be back on Thursday which would tie in with the dates in the Guardian article I read.

The listings could be wrong as Jeremy didn't say he wouldn't be on the show on Monday at the end of today's.
