As I've said, give him a regular show, even if it's a weekly one, and there'd be no comments.

Well I used to enjoy his Saturday afternoon show and thought he was good sitting in for JW, on Drivetime.

I agree Sandra.
Perhaps Richard will secure a regular show back on Radio 2 sometime soon. |

That's a contradiction in terms. He is one of the few who are good to listen to!
He doesn't talk all over the music, probably hasn't got a cat and if he has he doesn't inflict it on us. Doesn't talk all over the front of a track or chip in half way through. He obviously isn't going to get employed regularly by LD as he doesn't fit her profile of what she thinks makes a good broadcaster! |

I've heard that OFCOM are going to redifine DAB as "Dick Allinson Broadcasting" with the strapline "All Allinson, All Day." In the TV ads, lovable Digital Allinson will travel the country extolling the virtues of 10cc and Supertramp.
Eventually, the whole country will be in such a stupor that it gets attacked by Al(linson) Qieda, who Richard has secretly been working for all these years... |

LOL.
Interestingly I dug out recently the Supertramp album Crime of the Century. Had not heard it in years-what a fantastic album it is.
By the way when I was a little boy my mum used to say quite often "there's not such thing as too much Allinson you know"-isn't this what she meant. |

People would still moan. The POV board would open up a new thread every day
He's heard advertising Ronnie Baker DVD & booklet on TV now. £2.99 first edition then it goes up in price... |

The problem is Richard does so many shows in one long stretch and then he disappears for a long period. I suppose you can't have too much of a good thing. |

Richard Allinson left on his own accord and does freelance work. Perhaps he doesn't want to commit to full-time radio? |

Well, talking of seafood, at least Richard Allinson isn't an old crab like somebody we know of on Radio 2. |

The problem is if he was giving a regular show on Radio2 then his name wouldn't appear as often on the message boards. |

I have the ideal slot for Richard Allinson:
Weekdays, 6.00 - 7.30am.

Richard could cover any of the shows on Radio 2 and he would not be out of place.
Personally I would like to see him get either to get the weekday breakfast show or Drivetime. |
