This is particularly addressed to Briant but if anyone else can comment, please feel free.
We're doing something of an English tour for our holiday in August this year and this may include a visit to Liverpool.
I haven't forgotten that it's City of Culture this year and wonder what's happening in the place that we could visit, probably on a Sunday.
Any thoughts?

Hi Ian. If you are coming over the August Bank Holiday Weekend the Mathew Street Festival will be on. Gets a bit crowded to say the least! You could visit the two Cathedrals (they are close together), St George's Hall (not sure if it will be open to the public on Sundays but will try to find out for you.) The Albert Dock area has The Beatles Story, Maritime Museum, Tate Gallery etc. The L 1 Shopping Centre should be opening next month.

The late Sean Rice, the sculptor, was a friend of mine and you can some of his work in the Metropolitan Catherdral. |

Many thanks for replies so far.
Still not certain but if we do come it'll probably be on Sun 10 Aug.

I don't often see Songs of Praise these days but happened to catch this evening's edition, from Liverpool. What a heart-warming 35 minutes. It's certainly whetted my appetite for a visit!
