|
|
Starting on thursday april 10 Radio Ones Trevor Nelson wil be presenting a weekly one hour soul show at 10pm as part of the new evening shedule.Sadly however it means Simon Mayos Music Club is axed after march 31.Simon will however be doing a lot more stuff on radio 2 as holiday cover for other djs.just not his own show for the time being.Another casualty of the changes is Mark Lamarr who loses his raggae and rock'n'roll shows but he will still be on friday nights 12-3am.It also looks like Steve Harleys Sound of the 70s is being dropped as well but I'l have to confirmt hat. |

Mixed news here if all of this is true/accurate.
Good news that Trevor nelson is coming to Radio 2 with a new weekly show.
Bad news that Simon Mayo loses his regular show as well as Mark Lamarr.
Really going to be annoyed if Steve Harley loses his 30 minute show. Nothing against Brian Matthew and his Saturday morning show but how come this show survives. He must have played every song from the 60's 10 times over. |

It's not all just playing 60's songs. The show is one of the long running on Radio 2 thats why it's still on the station. Why break something which isn't.
We going to have some Club DJ's starting soon. Maybe Pete Tong can covering for Russell Brand and do some Text and Email shouts.. |

Hello Scott-How are you.
You are easily trapped/lured in old son-you should just retain that compulsion to post/respond just a little longer.
Good to have you back though-John Wright must be pleased. |
