So it does. My middle son, who teaches in South Yorkshire, is off next week. Round here the schools are off the week after next.

Thanks for the warning! Nottinghamshire schools are off next week; doesn't seem like five minutes since they went back after Christmas.
They're taking the usual Easter fortnight - I notice that some counties, eg Derbyshire, have re-scheduled the "Easter holiday" for w/c 7th and 14th April because Easter is so early this year.
It will be nice to have JW for a change in the morning. I'm getting a little tired of "Chuffer Dandridge", who seems to have monopolised Terry's ear, or e-mail inbox, lately. _________________ Ron |

Yes I'd noticed Chuffer seems to be one of the few to email these days!

Personally, I would have preferred Alice, as he does not have JW's ridiculous 'Roll Call' _________________ Geddon

Yes, the schools in this area are doing the same. They're off on Good Friday and Easter Monday and then are back till Friday 4 April, when they finish for two weeks.
Worth a pilot, when Easter's so early. What's really needed is a fixed date for Easter but I can't see the Catholic Church agreeing to that in my lifetime!

And here in Sussex too. Pleasure for the warning 6 weeks between terms. |

Hooray Johnnies back on.
I much prefer him sitting in for Terry, Richard Allinson is OK but very bland |

I used to love listening to Terry but I almost can't bear to now. Same old people emailing in, or rather the same people being chosen. Terry claims to receive hundreds of emails a day, if that's the case why do only the ones from 'chuffer' 'megan' 'dora' and so on get read out.
And if I hear one more comment about when to put the sprouts on I swear I'll scream, FFS it's not funny! |

As Ken's wife had a baby this week I don't think there he had much choice in his timing!

It was also a first for a Walker/Maconie handover, I felt it was important to note this occasion! Much better than the Saturday O'Leary handover. And great work from Walker, and what I heard of Maconie, this morning. This radio station's still pretty damn good! |
