I wonder if it would be possible for the person (off mike) to whom Dermot is constantly chatting/referring (on mike), to present the show instead. Clearly he or she knows a damn sight more and is a whole bunch better prepared than Dermot, since he constantly needs to refer to this person for information, thus punctuating his show with long silences. Irritating isn't the word for it.
Unprofessional probably is. |

I agree, it's really annoying, as is his constant decline into mumbling sessions which I can hardly hear from a distance....
still maybe that's a good thing.

The off-mike bloke is Producer Ben, and I dealt with him when I contributed to a BBC7 comedy show a couple of years back. I have to say he was really friendly and helpful - he'd be a great presenter! |
