Fantastic news-Richard is sitting in for Sarah Kennedy on 14th January.
Set the alarm clock and retune to BBC Radio 2. |

Well yes & no, give a thought to Sarah being unwell while you enjoy RA. I will certainly enjoy him on the radio while I have breakfast in the morning.

Is SK unwell again? I thought I heard her saying something about an ailment on Thursday or was it Friday? _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Hi Cherskiy. According to RA, whilst sitting in for JW this afternoon, he said that Bunty had taken to her bed and he would be sitting in for her tomorrow morning. Hope she's well soon, although I will really enjoy RA sitting in for her.

I'm rather hoping Sarah Kennedy needs the whole week off to recover from whatever illness she hast his time round-meaning Richard can cover for her until next week. |

Maybe she's having hot flushes over the news that Alex will be in the studio next door to hers, from April this year.
What ever it is I hope she gets better soon. |

Is Alex's normal 3:00am show moving down to London, or is he filling in for someone? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

That's what the jungle drums are saying Lee. There is a theory circulating here on the 3rd floor that all R2 weekday/night programmes currently broadcasting from Brum will move to London in April this year, all dressed up as a Carbon reducing/cost saving Green initiative but as ever with all of these rumours, we just have to wait and see. |

So while 2,000 BBC staff go north to Manchester, Alex Lester comes south to London. Madness! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Hang on the heading was wrong. It's Dicky Dawn
Sarah said that her mother in law was in unwell a few weeks back. I suppose if she now has a cold it's best to take time off incase people start saying she's p&&&ed on air

I don't normally post anything in SK's defence, but she did mention either Thursday or Friday that her "Much Beloved" had been ill for a week with a virus, and she wouldn't be surprised if she was next.
I know she kicks the ass out of sickies, but if she's as ill as a lot have been with this current bug I can't criticise her for staying home; after all that was the advice from the Department of Health!
Must admit though it's an ill wind, if you'll forgive the pun! |
