I have had a horrible listening experience over the Christmas hols. Got so desperate I had to seek refuge with local radio! I don't want so called personalities sitting in for regular presenters on holiday. Why can't we have people with an interest in the music they are playing who have some knowledge of it? Surely not too much to ask! |

Hello Angela W
Yes, there did seem to be a few too many didn't there? but I don't think any came close to the Davina McCall disaster earlier in the year.
I did enjoy Bob Dylan though, just my cup of tea.
Mind you, I can think of a few regular DJs who don't strike me as having much interest or knowledge about music either! including the wonderful Steve Wright! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

A thread named after me?!!
I can see where you are coming from Angela. Sadly, this seems to be true of normal Radio 2 & 6 music with most of the recent signings. I think that if you are looking for a career in radio 2 at present, it would be a great help if you've previously shouted at the populace on Big Brother! _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Lisa Tarbuck struck me as particularly ignorant. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

Yes there were some terrible "celebs" covering over the festive season, however, on the bright side, Bob Harris was just brilliant, IMHO and RA covering for Hamster covering for the "Waart" was a pleasant relief.

Yes I agree Bob Harris was good and I enjoyed RA, they made a pleasant change from most of the 'presenting styles'! Or lack of................!
I wonder who LD has in store to make us turn off next? |

Well I hope it isn't Chris Tarrent... never did like him.
Hopefully, Ed Stewart will make a comeback to Sundays _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Radio 2 was rubbish over Christmas. Nothing changes.
The highlights for me where Shaun Keaveny, Ed Stewart and the respite from Sarah Kennedy, Jeremy Vine and Steve Wright. |
