This being the first lap of a marathon race I'm sure that nobody is yet counting chickens or backing hares, and we have seen front-runners fade out before. However, the Clintons, who always seem to me to be far too smarmy and sure of themselves, have been given a wake-up call, if nothing else.
As to the possibility of a black President, there are still an awful lot of white, conservative, country voters living between the more liberal, cosmopolitan ones of the east and west coast etc who might like to see that. _________________ Ron |

On '24' the TV programme with Kiefer Sutherland, one of the main characters was President Palmer (rhymes with ) Played by that fine black actor Dennis Haysbert. I'd vote for him if I were an American |

Not to mention his brother. I could never get behind the idea of a President called Wayne.
Be nice to have a President who wasn't called Clinton or Bush. If Billary gets elected we could have 28 years of the Presidency being held by two familes.

36, if you count George Bush Snr's 8 years as VP from 81-89. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Hilary Clinton wasn't happy with Barack Obama change of policy in the latest debates. I'm sure she's a little unhappy becoming second. There is along way to go and things can change. Super Tuesday is next Month, and once they get to some bigger states protests about the war will get bigger.. |

She was 3rd not 2nd.
And Obama is more anti the Iraq war than Clinton.
I dont think either of them would be John Mccain in the general election TBH. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |
