Seems the Hamster ran on his wheel a little too hard yesterday....
RA's sitting in this morning due to RH being 'sick'. Not entirely sure he was too pleased about inheriting the 'Swap-o-rama' that Hamster started off the other day.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

While RA isn't really my cup of tea, I do think the BBC should give him a loyalty bonus for the number of times that he stands in at a moment's notice. And I've got to say I think he's a lot better than some of the inexperienced presenters they have engaged for this week, eg Tarbuck and Hamster. |

Sick God sake. Luckly Mr A he didn't go away. I think Wogan should have been drafted back as it's his show and gets paid enough? |

I would have been happy to listen to RA this morning, however, Hamster has been so dire I didn't bother to listen Still look on the bright side, Bob Harris is on in less than 50 minutes, yipee.

Why should he come back from his holiday just because hamster couldn't be arsed to get out of bed?
It may well be 'his' show but he's entitled to breaks just like anyone else. |

I share your sentiments tara, however, we don't know that Hamster is not really ill and I can only presume that he is. I don't know where or what Sir Tel is up to, however, it his show and maybe it wouldn't have hurt him to come in for one or two days as I don't get nearly as much time off as him and I am on call and have been since last Friday, without pay, unless I actually get called out. Come Sir Tel, do the right thing.

I'm not suggesting Hamster is not ill, I was only jesting about the not getting out of bed thing, I hope he is OK.
I don't see why Terry should go back in though, it's not his fault his stand in is ill. To be honest he's probably abroad but if not he would rather be with his family I'm sure.
I'm sure most of us don't get as much time off as him but that's life, just chill it's only radio. |

Richard Hammond should stick to his TV career-have just listened to one of his Xmas radio shows-imho not very good at all. What makes him think he is a radio presenter.
Richard Allinson is a 100 times better-RA should have been given more airtime in the Xmas Radio 2 schedules from the beginning. |

Why should Richard Allinson be drafted in he works on BFBS during the year and other projects. Dosn't sit around picking his nails all day. Blimey Wogan is paid more than his helpers.. |

Richard Allinson is indeed a hard working presenter.
The reason I suspect, is that he ENJOYS working whereas someone such as Terry Wogan is just going through the motions and is happy to pick up his fat pay cheque for doing the bare minimum. |

Terry does enjoy his work, he wouldn't bother to get out of bed at all, let alone at 5:30 in the morning if he didn't. |

I agree. If you didn't there's no way you'd get up at the hour he does at his age.
