I know I am against "big names" hosting shows on Radio 2 but I really do think Sir Cliff Richard would make a good host of SOTS! I saw him on VH1 (I think it was that channel) on Christmas Eve hosting a Christmas show and I thought he was very good!
Give him a try on SOTS! |

The Radio Times website says that Johnnie Walker is presenting SOTS this week and next but on last week's show Joe Brown said that Suzi Quatro was on this Saturday.
Does anyone know what's happening in the New Year?
If the outlook is still uncertain, then by all means let them sign up Sir Cliff for a couple of editions.
Can't see Miss Black doing it, somehow.

Has Paul Jones ever done it? _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

Don't know Natasha, but what a brilliant suggestion, like his Blues show and had the good fortune to see him live. Manfred Mann & The Yardbirds on the same line up, brilliant . Reckon he would be great presenting SOTS, still want Brian back ASAP though .

Paul Jones is another good suggestion for SOTS. I'm surprised he hasn't been asked to host the show by now. But I would like to hear Cliff Richard host a show on Radio 2. I have always liked him and I think he would show great enthusiasm with the music played. |

His blues show is certainly good - although I don't listen again, if I'm in the car or the house I'll try and listen to it live. A good contender for SOTS. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
