They are not losing the plot ernie, they have well and truly lost it and IMHO don't have a clue what most R2 listeners would prefer to listen to over Christmas & New Year.

Or at any other time it seems. It does seem to me that when something is truly popular, it either gets 'axed' straight away, or severely truncated, or shunted to a 'graveyard' slot before being given the chop sometime later, due to the audience figures having declined. Usually to be replaced by some loudmouth or, less than funny (IMHO) 'comedian'. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

This does look interesting, although 3 hours seems a bit long wided. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Why can't Steve Wright deliver the special love songs show live on New Years Eve?
He gets paid extremely well enough by the BBC-there is no excuse for yet another pre-recorded show. |

Yes Ernie.
Richard confirmed today on his daily BFBS Radio 2 show that he is having 2 weeks off over Christmas-his holiday commences from Monday 24th December returning to BFBS Radio 2 on Monday 7th January.
Believe though Richard will be covering the Terry Wogan BBC Radio 2 breakfast show on 3rd and 4th January.

Nice to see you Helen.
Yes a couple of days of Richard Allinson on BBC Radio 2 over the festive period is certainly something to look forward to. |

R&M's studio looks like it's in somebody's front room!
If you hadn't have said it was Stuart ( or is it Mark? ) I'd have said it was Tony Blackburn! even the shirt looks right for TB! _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

You usually get two alternating views of the Mark Radcliffe / Stuart Maconie show. Here's the other view on what must have been a particularly stressful show!!

I am beginning to think that the schedulers are losing the plot. And now this. |
I was thinking just that. Who's to listen to mushy stuff on your new years eve party, where you would probably be seeing in the new year by dancing the night away and/or partying or rampaging until Dawn on New Years Day? |
