Was SW right when he said that the best part of the big show was at the end, as a retort to Alfie Boe's, " the best part of Granada was at the end"? I am really sitting on the fence on this one as yes, I am pleased it's over. However, and that's a very big however, the ginger whinger is about to start Can you other posters help me out on this, or are you are in the same quandary?

Nod-SantaFefan represents a group of 1 with regard to SW.
Imho there are even less good bits in the Big Show than in CE's shows.
I've been listening to parts of the Chris Evans shows this week (apart from today) and I have to say the shows have not been very good entertainment-so much shouting, talking nonsense, silly stories-what's happened to the music content.
As I can't stand Steve Wrong I have been listening to Suggs and his Afternoon Show on Virgin-he plays really great tunes from a wide ranging play list and he DOES NOT talk over the music.
Daytime Radio 2 is poor and needs a complete overhaul. |

Each to his own, I enjoy CE, can be a bit OTT, loud etc but still good entertainment. A pity you missed todays as Fridays usually has some good music.
SW is just a stale format with the same old stuff day after day...just filling 3 hours. 1/2 hr just reading the news by himself, 1/2 hour of factoids with the sidekicks, 1 hr of non-stop stuff, then poor banter with recorded guests, best switch off by 4pm. |

Clip from Drivetime earlier in the week..
Chris - " and what kind of car do you drive Mary?"
Mary - " a Volkswagen Polo"
Orgasmic Chris - " Woooooo, wuheyyy, that's wonderful!" _________________ Johnnie Walker read out my message on Pirate Radio! 13/8/07

Mark O-I'm not sure about the Suggs show being voice tracked on Virgin.
I have had the radio on while doing house chores so have not been concentrating 100%.
It may well be, and if it is, it does not detract from what I consider to be a good show-the music content is excellent-Suggs knows his music for sure. |

He has been in the music industry for a while. I'm sure most of it is done for him and he sitting there talking, whilst the engineer is putting the music, etc on? |

Steve Wright has hosted the same cr/\p format since 1980. Time for a change methinks.
Chris Evans for the 2.00 - 5.00pm slot,
Danny Baker for Drivetime!
Steve Wright for Capital Gold Digital...or Bermuda Triangle FM.

I think the best bit of Steve Wrights show is the first half an hour before organo girl starts her preaching.
He actually plays some decent music during that first half an hour before everything descends into groundhog day, which at the moment is Kylie, Girls Aloud ,Leona Lewis etc EVERY SINGLE DAY. |
