I am no fan of Gordon but he is popular and I'm sure a lot of people will be listening while they are preparing the dinner.
I might even listen myself |

I would rather wait & listen before trying to predict what the show will sound like. He is a perfectionist so if he does the show it should be good _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

We will find out ! ern is correct though, he is obsessive and will want to make a good impression in line with his character which we know so well. I won't be able to tune in, so will look for comments on here or Listen Again.

At the risk of losing the thread, I think Gordon Ramsay should have been on today, not tomorrow...... it's not like we can pop down to the shop tomorrow for that special ingredient; that must have herb, spice or sauce....
There'll be Gordon..... with you following his instructions... yep got one of those, and a bit of that , and some of of this, mix together and sprinkle with .... oh......... erm ......... darling .............
Yes dear....
Did you remember the .........
no dear.........
well dinner's off!...... ........ |

I wonder if the programme will need much editing & bleeping?! (Remembering Mr Meatyard on that TV programme The Village when every other word was bleeped out! |

Hmmm.... two hours of bleeps doth not a programme make!
As gfloyd remarked earlier, I'll reserve judgement until tomorrow morning (I have all the ingredients I'm going to need so anything he says won't leave me thinking I should have bought such and such...).

That's a good point Rachel, but I doubt anyone listening will really be wanting any cooking tips I'll have him on as a bit of background noise, I'm quite curious as to what kind of show it will be.
At least they can bleep out the expletives since it's not live, I wonder how long it took to record, 5 days perhaps leaving 2 hours of unbleeped radio. |

""He is a perfectionist so if he does the show it should be good ""
I don't know about that, he wasn't so hot on "Have I got News for you" was he?
having said that, I didn't like the chap at all until I started watching the "F word" on TV and warmed to him very quickly! |

I caught an episode of kitchen nightmares last week and I also warmed to him He swears a lot but it did seem like he was genuinely trying to help. |

Gordon's show wasn't too bad, I kind of ignored the bit with Victoria Beckham though. Some of the music was pretty good too, all in all worth a listen, it was definately better than the local radio station anyway. |

I liked the bit where she said "I'll never sing again" - I swear I could hear the sound of cheering echoing up and down my street!

I listened and enjoyed. Loved his voice on the radio, which was odd as I can't stand it on TV. A soothing programme for Christmas am |

Sorry we dont need this type of show of UK National Radio!! I listened to half hour of it and had to turn over to the orignal traditional presenter, who hosts shows on the radio every christmas day morning. |

Yes, his voice was almost subdued. I try to avoid him on TV too, so I wasn't expecting what I heard this morning.

Mark, too much sherry?

Gordon himself was ok, but I had to turn it off after his turkey and cookery timings were drove me mad!
When you are cooking the same thing but to a different schedule it was shall I say more than a wee bit annoying. Shame as I like to have the radio on when I'm cooking.
Not my choice.

I had a quick listen again, just so that I could join in with this thread. I'm afraid his 'phone sex, keeps my marriage alive' pervy voice, during the introduction, really put me off. Sorry.
Mind you, it makes you wonder if he is going to start a trend? Next year, 'Decorate the tree with shiny balls and home made 'art', with Linda Barker? _________________ Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it. |

Don't say that too loudly, Natasha - you never know who's listening into this conversation....
I turned off mentally when he was going on about cooking, though - I had visions of him sitting in a studio somewhere having a laugh at everyone else's expense, us thinking he was really cooking....
