Which group has made the most appearances on Top of The Pops-this includes live appearances as well as video.
Indeed what do you think the number of appearances is. |

If this came up at my pub quiz we'd say Status Quo and guess at 104 appearances.
Then we'd get it wrong, get drunk, forget it, and the next time it came up we'd say Status Quo and guess at 104 appearances... |

Status Quo and around 90 appearances, but I'm only guessing. I reckon the performer with the most appearances would be Cliff Richard, with well over 150. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

It must be a group that were at number 1 forever. If it was a single singer I would say Bryan Adams, Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston. For a group I'm not sure. Maybe Quo, Abba or Frankie Goes To Hollywood. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Where's Mark M gone? Will we ever know the answer??!!!!
I still think it's Quo, with Cliff second. I heard Cliff's happy with the number 2 slot. |
