|
|
I dont know if anyonmes mentioned this already but when Dermot returns from holiday on saturday october 6 he will have a new time slot-saturdays 2-4pm.Stuart Maconie will now be on 4-6.30pm . Digiguide listings confirm this. That seems to be the extent of the autumn schedule changes Im afraid!
Incidentally talking of Stuart hes going to be sitting in for Chris Evans for the first time since june the week beginning monday october 8. |

Good in a way - I can suspend my R2 listening activities on a Saturday until 4pm, and won't miss Gambo because I forget to tune in again. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I'll just leave the radio off from 1-4pm.
and it will then run on after that into other listenable programmes.
Now Stuart 2 - 6.30pm that would be better |

So not the "major changes" that you predicted last month here?
EDIT: Actually it was firewindfred that predicted that. Sorry Iain. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

That's good news for me, as I often forget to switch back for Gambo as well.
Getting back to having a good show to listen to while I cook tea, as in the days of Richard Allinson's show.

No big deal-Stuart followed by Dermot, Dermot followed by Stuart-it's still good radio entertainment as far as I am concerned on a Saturday afternoon on Radio 2.
I don't know why so many folk knock Dermot-he's a good lad/fine radio presenter imho-I really like him.
Thank god that total plonk Pete Mitchell has not been promoted to daylight radio-now he is really totally rubbish. |

Now those sentiments I agree with wholeheartedly! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Exactly, Helen. This may be the start of the good times again. Like many, I also forget to tune back into Gambo.
