Brilliant piece of music journalism I thought. He was not on my radar at all during his productive years (don't exactly know where I was musically at that time!) but tonight's programme brought him and his work to life to the extent that I recognised it as a distant backdrop to a very interesting period in my life.
The programme drew a vivid picture of him as a "normal" vibrant and talented young musician before drugs addled his brain and stifled his talent. The efforts of his Pink Floyd colleagues to extract his talent and commit it to disc on his infrequent occasions of lucidity were well documented. Great programme. Well done!
Unlike the heap of "poor in my opinion" which has just started up and which will now drive me into the other room to watch different "poor in my opinion" of a less irritating nature. (RB, in case you didn't know) |

It's "Syd", by the way, not "Sid". |

I intended to hear it on Listen Again today, as live it would have been drowned out by my mum watching sodding Casualty again.
But I got a message saying they were unable to bring us the programme.
I had the rest of last Sunday's Freak Zone on instead. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.

If we are being picky the correct name is "Roger" |

Excellent music documentary. There was no glossing over the bad bits in his life, and to here the early floyd stuff was magic. _________________ Geddon

I eventually heard the programme on Listen Again last Friday.
An excellent account from Mr. Radcliffe. _________________ We made a land where crap is king and the good don't last for long.
