I used to listen to this intermittently from the late 50s to the mid 70s so I was interested to hear that a new series is on the way. It'll be interesting to see how well it does in 2007 and whether it's an idea whose time has come again.

Do I also remember a radio show entitled "What do you Know"? |

First one must have been last week, because the Radio Times lists tomorrows as 2/8. Did anyone hear it?
Panel tomorrow is Alan Carr, Jools Holland, Liz Smith, Tom Baker, Arthur Smith, Suggs and Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen with Vic Reeves chairman.
Certainly different to Ted Ray, Tommy Trinder, Jimmy Edwards, Cyril Fletcher, Cardew Robinson and Macdonald Hobley _________________ Ron |

In my opinion it wasn't great, but at least it was better than the previous week's offering in the same slot (half an hour of the "Theatre Group" sketch from Out To Lunch ) |

Heard yesterday's (repeat of Thursday's). Arthur Smith, Tom Baker, Laurence Llewellyn-Bowen and Jo Caulfield. Vic Reeves busting a gut to be funnier than them.
But he needn't have bothered.
It's all too forced and unfunny, a waste of time and effort. _________________ Ron |

Spot on, Ron.
It seems to go on forever... as each person desperately tries to be funnier and weirder than the other. It's just hard work listening, mainly because of Vic Reeves tortured attempts to be surreal. An act which is long past it's sell-by date. |
