What a fantastic track from Kendal Carson, I have been to the link at myspace from Bob's playlist page and listened to other tracks by this bubbly blonde fiddler, she is something else, IMHO. Hard to put her music into any pigeon hole, which is something that always grabs my attenttion and after listening to the tracks on myspace I will be buying this CD Rear View Mirror Tears. Also liked the sound of Yvonne Lyon, not knowingly heard her before and would love to see her live, looks like a visit to relatives in Torphins as she is live at Banchory in September, pity she does not appear to be venturing far into the land of us sassenachs. Anybody else have any thoughts on these 2 excellent young talents?

Haven't got that far in my review yet, BB - have been up the hills in the Lakes for the last two days. Will try and complete it tomorrow morning - have a free day! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Um, dare I say it but Mr. Baker has been playing this stonking track to death for weeks now!

The main difference there is that I'll hear it on Bob Harris' show. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

I ordered the 2 disc CD straight away after hearing it on the Bob Harris Show. Needless to say he played it again last weekend.
An excellent bar-room sing-along.... _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

In case anyone has trouble finding it (cos "Kendal Carson" comes up blank at myspace) here's the link http://www.myspace.com/kendelcarson
Sounds good, I'll investigate further later on - not much time today! _________________ Ron |

Must agree whole heartedly and the other tracks on myspace from the CD are so very different and really excellent, IMHO. Where did you order the CD from Cherskiy, I tried Blah, but it ain't listed, did you order it from the States or Canada, however, I would prefer to order from a UK site, but not MVC. Thanks.

It arrived today, BB - I'll let you know what I think of it once I've listened to it right through, along with the other two CDs that turned up in the post! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

I am certain I replied to this last night Cherskiy, but can't find it anywhere, strange but true. Thanks for the heads up about HMV, I ordered the CD last night, didn't know about quidco, have joined that. How long was the free delivery time from HMV, or did you pay for 1st class delivery as I can't wait to get to listen to the rest of the album. I note from your random jukebox post that you are enjoying listening to this wonderful Canute young lady, in your car.

Didn't Bob Harris play something from her on last night's country show? _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

Took three days using free delivery, and I eventually receive 90p back from Quidco in a couple of months. You'll hopefully like the rest of the album - plenty of different styles there. I'm currently listening to the track "I Certainly Know Why" whilst typing this up - think Alanis Morrisette turning all country-like! _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

First track on the album - "Run To The Middle Of The Mornin'". Great stuff. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”

Got my CD yesterday Cherskiy, delayed by the postal strike! I like all of the tracks, obviously some more than others. But what appeals to me is "I Certainly Know Why", not that I'm bitter, you understand!

I'm pleased you like the CD, BB. Doubtless Bob will be playing more from the album on his shows in forthcoming weeks. _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
