I wouldn't want to go back if I took a stretch like that away from work. |

I know what you mean , I had 8 weeks off work quite a while back. I discovered a whole new life while I was off ... going back to work really got in the way... oh well just another 25 years to work..... |

Is Pete Mitchell, Russell Brand or - better still - that idiot Chris Evans getting a whole month off as well?

Yes, he does sound as though he'd rather be somewhere else, doing something else, doesn't he? Obviously that's just his sardonic style.

He does give the impression of being bored sometimes, but it's the disdain and slightly cutting remarks that swing the 'sardonic' label for me.

I always get the impression Lester's talking to me, he justs talks to all his mates in the Lester Clique, he's a a lot like Dutta, a bit too sarcastic and pleased with himself for my liking , sorry. Don't get me wrong folks, I don't want him sacked or burned at the stake like , just because I don't like him, just my two pen'orth is all. |

Er... just spotted my typo .. it should've read "I always get the impression Lester's NOT talking to me... sorry Rache, your boy's not my cup o' tea. Same as that Mo Dutta on that Sat/Sun early shift.. did you spot what I did there ? Bit of a Duta-esque type link there mate. |

Oh, that's ok Two stepper , if we all liked the same thing , life would be dull. My other half can't stand Alex. I get forcibly ejected from bed at 05:17 each weekday morning when the radio alarm comes on, so that he doesn't have to listen to Alex for more than a few seconds. I have to run to my dressing room so that I don't miss a moment. |

Rachel,
Tried to "Listen Again" to Alex's show from this morning but they've still got Pete Mitchell on.... grr!
Catching up with the last hour of Stuart Maconie's show instead.

Cherskiy,
that's a great shame cos this morning's show is the best so far this week... I'm listening now on my MP3 thing........ The support team must have overlooked uploading the show before the, well practiced, bomb burst, out of the office .... No doubt, the chairs are still spinning |

I liked his suggestion this morning to 'stagger Christmas' (if your surname is between A and L, you get to celebrate it in December, the rest in January, or if you have an odd/even-numbered house, same deal...) - and the story about the 'large lady' with 3 sacks of parcels at the Post Office.
Still got the remaining 2hrs 30mins to go....

Iain,
I'm really looking forward to Alex being on an extended DP next week....... .... it wouldn't be Christmas week, without Alex on the Radio. |
