Sir Elton John reacted in anger when his car was stopped by royal security after his performance on Sunday night at the Concert for Diana.
The musician was being driven to his dressing room following his performance at Wembley Stadium. However, increased security around the backstage area due to preparations for the Princes’ arrival led to his car getting stopped. He was then told to walk.
Elton John was quoted as saying during the incident, "Get out of my ****ing way. Don't you know who I am? I've been working all ****ing day and I need to get to my ****ing dressing room."
After photographers started gathering around the scene, Elton jumped out of the car and stormed through anyone in his path to his dressing room.
A source close to Elton John blamed the stress of a long day for his behavior. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Strange that the Royal Protection Squad would not let an old queen through the barriers. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I suppose it could have been worse: "I'm sorry, officer, I haven't got time at the moment. Will this do?" _________________ Author: “To the Ends of the Earth: A Snapshot of Aviation in North-Eastern Siberia, Summer 1992”
