Yes, shame. Great voice "Hello Dolly" indeed.
Does anyone of a certain age remember his singing "Dickens home improvement hypermarket"
As a kid, this was my first sight of the man.
Rest in peace, George thanks for all the great tunes. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |

I remember George Melly doing a Radio 2 series about 'The Mob' (Mafia) and the music associated with them. Perhaps a repeat might be in order sometime soon? |
