Has anyone heard any good malapropisms lately?
We were returning by taxi from an evening wedding do and the driver said that he'd recently been at a wedding where they'd thrown 'confectionery' at the bride.
Knocked out by a tin of Quality Street, perhaps?
Over to you.

That reminds me of going to a wedding in Liverpool in the eighties, with lots of members of groups there. One famous singer had a tin of rice pudding in his hand. I asked what it was for and he said (straight faced) 'They told me to bring rice and throw it!' Maybe he fancied the bride...or more likely, the groom! |
