I caught a bit of The Weekender last night, and instead of switching off as usual I was drawn in by guest host Jarvis Cocker and listened to the whole lot. He was an excellent presenter - intelligent, witty, confident, knowledgeable. He came across as friendly and was even reading listener's texts.
On the whole, he was a lot more competent as a radio presenter than several of full-time lot. Get him a regular slot! |

I enjoyed the part of the show I heard,
Not sure about "and was even reading listener's texts", depends what they say and how the DJ uses them , it's usually a sign of a bad stand-in filling in time. |

Plus, there are one or two *coughDermotOLearycough* who can't even read text messages very well! |

It's not always a filler. A good presenter allows his audience to interact and let the show follow the flow. _________________ He's not the Messiah- he's a very naughty boy! |
