May I express my disappointment that Mark Occomore News Agency has not reported this yet.
Cue usual speculation about a Radio 2 show, etc, etc. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west.....

I've never heard of her, who is she?
Her dream is to work with Terry? I guess in her dreams will be the closest she gets to that. |

Is being London's 9th most popular breakfast show host worse then being East Yorkshire's 4th? _________________ Geddon

I suppose another female would be ideal on radio 2. Another shift around in the pipe line |

No, that'd be Lauren Laverne. Is Laura her sister? |

if she's just a presenter for a wee local london station then, to be fair, most of us won't know who she is (or be too bothered)
no offence meant gfloyd
... I just get a little hacked off with people thinking london is the centre of the universe (or the UK even - when that is actually closer to newcastle geographically, and need I say hip-wise )
sorry - rant over

The lady in question will be star in the near future, whether on Radio 2 or elsewhere. She was serving her apprentice on Xfm so to speak. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I agree about the London-centric stuff but, to be fair, Lauren Laverne presents BBC2's The Culture Show, used to be a pop singer, and was recently on the cover of the Radio Times alongside Russell Brand and Dermot O'Leary. So she's a little more relevant than, er, Jono Coleman or someone |

With the emphasis on the word "bothered". Is anybody bothered???? Not me.

She was singer and guitarist in Sunderland nearly all-girl punk act 'Kenickie' in the mid-1990's, and also presents a late night music show on Channel 4, called 'Transmission' (I think).
Although she's bubbly and intelligent, I personally think she's a bit 'lowbrow' to be presenting 'The Culture Show' (I preferred the previous presenter, whose name escapes me, but who also presents programmes on Radio 3).
However, she'd be great on Radio 2! _________________ . . . From The Asteroid Belt, Peter de Meteor |
