This is the 1st anniversary of his final Saturday afternoon show. 1 year ago this afternoon it was goodbye to the Saturday mayhem that entertained us for 8 months. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Curiously, it's also the birthday of another former inhabitant of the R2 Saturday afternoon slot - the brilliant Steve Race, who's now 86 (and I think he's still alive - I've heard nothing to the contrary). Unlike some other presenters, he knew when to stop and retired when he hit 71! _________________ "....you're wearing a plywood bow tie with Dundee United on it?" |
