Yeah he did announce the wrong winner but I'm assuming he was told in his earpeice that Cyndi had won.
All rather strange, Terry looks like he's thinking WTF!
Poor old Tel, he won't be allowed to forget about this, especially from Ken Bruce. |

Some people said Terry looked a bit disoriented last night. I've only seen the You Tube clip but the show looks a bit cheap and chaotic. After Terry forgetting that it was Comic Relief and not Children In Need on Friday, I'm begining to think he is losing it a bit. _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

Nah, he's always been prone to blunders, it's nothing new.
Someone was interviewing Scooch and they said the autocue said 'nearly Cindi' so it an easy mistake to make.
I thought Terry seemed normal but he looked bored, maybe slightly tired even thought he's just come back from holiday.
I think he is fine in terms of the old grey matter but I do think he's finding it hard getting up the mornings, I think he will retire soon. |

Maybe he was listening to the cricket commentary of Ireland beating Pakistan in the World Cup instead of paying attention to what the director was saying _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

The BBC's Director has said he suspected they were trying so hard to make sure nothing was wrong with the actual process of collecting and checking phone votes that someone panicked at the last minute and sent down the wrong result but he was sure it wasn't Terry Wogan's fault. |

I cant see Dickie getting the Eurovision gig when Terry does stand aside. More likely it will go to Chris Evans or Ross. Although Ross might be too near the knuckle in his insults of other countries. He might actually start a war! _________________ His name was ernie ........ and he drove the fastest milk cart in the west..... |

I think Ken Bruce will get it
Terry is not past it, he probably had a bad day, remember he always used to do this eurovision stuff with Paul Walters, I think he missed him yesterday |

They may just, and I hope they do; not bother with Eurovision after Terry retires. Most people watch it only for Terry's comments; without those it would be a bland, pointless, talentless contest. Like watching the the x factor whilst on holiday in Belgium. |

But you're right Mark it is.
Y'know, the more we're talking about terry retiring, the more I really want him to stay. The breakfast show is still great, although I do think too much contemporary music is being played - wheres Carley Simon and the carpenters?
Not that I think it's the oldies show, just we never seem to have them anymore.
Keep on Going, Terry. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |

Terry was getting lots of stick from the TOGS this morning. He took it in good spirit. _________________ Geddon

Terry has apologsied to Cyndi for the error.
I'm sure he was expecting a deluge of 'dogs abuse' this morning, I bet Ken won't be able to resist mentioning it either. |

Andy I couldn't agree with you more about the choice of music. We don't get Reba McIntyre much these days either. I noticed the Travelling Wilburys were on the other week and a mention to Paul Walters at the same time. He was the one who gave us the great music.

Yes, Helen, you're right. Paul is much missed and it shows in the musical content.
Some conspiricy nuts would tell you they're preparing us for a handover, contemporary music = contemporary dj.. What a shame the whinger wasn't away last week as well. Stuart after Mark Radcliffe, I could have stuck with R2 all afternoon. Still it's nice to hear Sally for longer than just the one 'appearence' on Jeremy Vine's show, which is the norm. _________________ Lord Evan Elpuss, Your ideal job is a Lumberjack. |

When Wogan goes, I'd love Ken Bruce to do it (he's much better anyway) but I expect it will be Jonathan Ross & Fearne Cotton. I'm sure they'll give it a go for a few more years as it does get good ratings.
Didn't see MYMU myself, but I did see most of Comic Relief and thought Chris Evans was excellent. A pity he was hampered by Davina's gurning but he had a great enthusiasm for it all that was infectious. |
