I always love to hear "Sing Little Birdie". The piccolo on the recording was played by someone I know but was uncredited. He lived to a good age didn't he and his speaking voice on the radio always sounded quite youthful even when he was getting on a bit. Tough for Pearl now he has gone.
RIP. |

Over sixty years of married life...how wonderful for them both. Pearl will surely be lost without him, which is very sad.
98 is a good age.
R.I.P Teddy.
(I read the other day that Eunice Gayson has died aged 90..a familiar name to some on here I'm sure)
May she rest in peace also.

I read that they moved into Brinsworth House, the home for elderly theatricals, when they retired. It is in Twickenham and I went to one of their open days decades ago. It is where Richard O'Sullivan lives since he had a stroke some years ago.
Pearl will have plenty of support there. |

I remember reading that Richard O'Sullivan was in a home for show business people, after he had a stroke,Eileen...I loved him in all he did...very sad he had a stroke at a relatively young age. |

Richard was an altar boy at my local church when I was a child. He was a nice little chap, a couple of years younger than me. He was at Corona Stage School in Chiswick, had a younger brother and very pleasant quiet parents, whom I remember well. |

That's nice to hear,Eileen. He always had the kind of face that looked like he was a nice person. |
