Why can't RA remain in this slot?
Or has that question been asked before?

Probably has Ella, but you're right - it's a vast difference from SW. Just listening to the Mathew kelly interview and it's much more in-depth, no "You're fab, we love you" sycaphancy.
great old tunes today - I only listen to the afternoon show when RA is doing it. _________________ Some say he once threw a microwave oven at a tramp and that all his potted plants are called 'Steve'.....all we know is, he's called 'The Stig!'. |

Thanks goodness for the mp3 fm radio. The rhyme and reason comp was a whole load of fun. _________________ Geddon

The oldies started late at 2.45pm with the 2.30-3.15 jingle ( Throught we wouldn't hear that ) Then he played the first one and then sally traffic, where he could of had sally on just before George Micheal, then he was talking after nearly every single one. Richard does usually play them all without any talking. Is a little bit of Steve Wright rubbing off?
Then it was the Quiz did anyone know how to play it. Quotes RA : I hate Steve Wright, I'm off too the pub, can Chris Evans start at 4pm
Overall very interesting show. I enjoyed Matthew Kelly Interview with a little of Sarah Kennedy mentioned regarding Game For A Laugh. And Lenry Henry is funny. |

I see they have closed the thread on the Beeb Message Boards about RA covering for Steve Wright, not one posting saying they preferred SW. What happened to auntie wanting to hear all feedback about our BBC?

Interestingly they left it open until one person said they didn't like Richard Allinson. |

Looks like Richard is Steve cover still, but his profile wiped off the website. |

I heard some ego in Richard voice? Or was it the sarcastic voice. Still good broadcaster. Shame he didn't join the other well known names on smooth, maybe not his style of broadcasting sitting there playing music? |
