My other half is on his way home from the match so he'll be well pleased with that result! No doubt he'll get a text from our friends in Texas who still follow the Toon's fortunes via the BBC page.

Other clubs would do well to look and learn. To get rid of the manager, at the first hint of trouble, is not always the answer. |

I agree. Too many managers get the sack too early. It takes time to build a team. Alex Ferguson took four years to win his first trophy at Man Utd.
These days there are too many ignorant overseas owners of football clubs who are merely businessmen spending their ill gotten gains who don't understand the game. |
